The earrings are made with alpaca silver. Alpaca silver is an alloy of zinc, iron, nickel and copper. It is extremely lightweight and will not rust or tarnish. The earrings were handmade in Peru.

Sanyork Fair trade works with partners from Peru to stop exploitation, preserve culture, and provide a sustainable economy to skilled artisans. Dozens of artisans work under safe conditions in a workshop situated in one of poorest suburbs of Lima—San Juan de Lurigancho. Sanyork emphasizes cutting out the middleman, buying direct from the producer source. By doing this, they aim to prove that profits and socially and economically responsible working conditions are a feasible combination.
