The Villages Story
Villages Calgary, part of the Global Village Crafts Society, has been a leader in promoting fair trade in Calgary for more than forty years. Located just a few minutes' walk from Kensington, our non-profit society is dedicated to encouraging ethical consumption, supporting the livelihoods of artisans and farmers worldwide, and promoting fair compensation for their work. Our offerings are not just products, but symbols of hope, empowerment, and fairness.
What We Offer
We offer a broad range of certified fair trade products, each carefully selected to reflect the skills and cultures of our producers. From handcrafted jewellery and clothing to delicious coffee and chocolate, our products are made with care and dedication and make for the perfect gift. Many of our artisans are women who have overcome significant challenges, including those unable to work outside the home or those who have been victims of human trafficking.
