Mr. Ellie Pooh works with artisans in Sri Lanka to reduce waste and employ eco-friendly methods in the creation of cards, notebooks, toys, and more. Dr. Karl Wald has been working towards this goal since 2005 when he moved to Sri Lanka and shadowed an elephant veterinarian. Seeing the needless harm that comes to elephants, Dr. Wald started Ellie Pooh as a way to create papermaking jobs and give elephants an even more valuable role.
