Starfish Projects began in 2006 as a small group of friends who could no longer simply walk by the women and girls they observed being exploited around their city in Asia. None of the founders had previous business or jewelry design backgrounds. What they shared was a desire to restore hope and bring freedom to women across the world.

Starfish provides life-changing opportunities to women who are escaping trafficking and exploitation. The team works to aid disadvantaged people and then equips them with the tools needed to build an independent life through holistic care programs and skills training. This includes job training gained through creating beautiful jewelry, access to vocational training, healthcare, shelter, counseling, and education grants.
