Each batik headband is handmade by Global Mamas at the Batiking & Sewing Centres in Cape Coast and Ashaiman. Made of 100% cotton, in a variety of vibrant colours, the designs feature a covered elastic back to ensure comfort.
Started in 2003 by batikers and seamstresses in Cape Coast, Ghana, Global Mamas range of handicrafts has expanded to include hundreds of products sold worldwide. This fair trade organization supports women to gain financial independence and decision-making in their communities and families.
